This place really impressed me. First when we entered I didn't exprect a lot from this ethnical place. The child wanted a pizza and we ordered 3 for us. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The music is quiet and doesn't disturb or interrupt communication. Of course, for those who appreciate very sophisticated places, it can seem to be a bit simple in serving, But as for me, I can say that it's an excellent place and I'm happy to have discovered another place in the center of Ancona where one can eat so well!
Gone with friends as they were saying pizza is ok but is really good in fact. May be being italian abroad lowered my expectations but the pizza is as I like it, big, thin and bubbly crunchy base. The place has a nice ethnical fusion atmosphere, service is nice, my friend asked for a different pizza as he ordered the wrong one and they changed it no problems, not many places do it without charging you.
During a work visit to Ancona I was lucky to find this restaurant. It as a great mix of good Italian food and non Italian ethnic choices that make it a great place to eat more than once. The menu is small but varied, with my favourites being the Nasi Goreng just the right amount of spice and good size plate. Also good is the Tempura fish - Good fresh sea food and excellent batter. Italian dishes include Stinko (pork knuckle) and a starter of mixed cold meats and cheeses with honey dip, creamed spinach and marinated ginger sides. Plenty for 2 on one platter, and a variety of pasta dishes as you would expect. Over the space of a few months I have visited Uomodonna many times and I think have tried most of the menu items - all very good and well presented. And they make great Pizzas too. Good selection of wines & beers. Very friendly service and regular customers get a discount voucher for thier next visit. The background music is usually good too. If you are in Ancona I can highly recomend it for a nice evening.
