Qingshuiyan in Anxi, Quanzhou, is cost-effective. Self-driving to the gate of the scenic spot, tickets are 20 yuan, and the elderly are free. Due to the holiday, there are many people, and the incense is very busy. The air is fresh and the scenery is ok, see picture.
As it was off peak, getting there on your own is not easy. The bus from town stopped at a village at the foot of the mountain, then a bike took me up there. Make sure you have his contact for the return journey. Once in the temple ground, its so peaceful, serene and beautiful. Not sure during peak season but there was less than a dozen people the whole time I was there. Its just a so nice to enjoy the fresh air, listen to birds chirping and in awe at nature's creation. The temple itself is not so big and on 3 levels. Made my offering and then wander around the surrounding and enjoy my walks.
Qingshuiyan, located in Anxi County, has many titles and is a national AAAA-level tourist area. There are three very special landscapes here. Here, the mountains are high, the water is clear and the trees are green, the air is fresh, and the incense is flourishing. One is that Qingshuiyan Scenic Area is located in Penglai Mountain. Because it is often misty and immortal, it is also known as the "Penglai Wonderland of the South". The second is here is a scenic spot with Qingshuiyan Temple as the main body and Qingshui ancestor culture as its characteristics, integrating religious pilgrimage, eco-tourism, folklore exhibition, and leisure vacation. The most famous one should be the Qingshuiyan Temple in the shape of "Emperor". This temple is built on a mountain and faces a deep gully. The terrain is extremely magnificent and has a three-story pavilion style. The palace has red brick walls, blue gray tiles, dangerous buildings and heavy pavilions, hidden on the top of the mountain surrounded by green pine, bamboo and smoke, which is elegant and spectacular. The third is Qingshuiyan, the mountains and clear waters are beautiful, the green trees are tall and straight, the famous landscape is "Branches facing north", a large camphor tree that can only be embraced by more than a dozen people, it is very special that all the branches stretch northward. Very peculiar.
The mountains are beautiful and the air is fresh, it is worth a visit.
