Anyang Museum is a local comprehensive history museum. It was established in 1958. It is one of the earliest prefectural-level museums in Henan Province. It is located in Yuanlin, on the north bank of Huanshui, Anyang City, Henan Province. Yuan Lin was built from 1916 to 1918. It was the cemetery of Yuan Shikai, a warlord of Beiyang and the President of the Republic of China. On December 25, 2008, moved into the Anyang City Library and Museum Complex. On March 18, 2010, the name of the museum was changed from "Anyang Museum" to "Anyang Museum".

    Okay place to kill time

    Not greatest museum I’ve toured, but as weather was poor, it made passing the time tolerable. G FB one for adults, but most children would be bored.

The Anyang Museum is affiliated with the Anyang City Cultural Bureau. It is one of the earliest prefecture-level museums to have been established in Henan Province. It is also a patriotism education base in Henan. When Anyang Museum first opened, it was devoted to the collection, conservation and protection of local historical relics. There are more than 10,000 cultural relics currently in the collection. The dozens of categories of collected relics include various ancient tools and instruments, old coins, paintings, along with modern and contemporary cultural relics.
