spent my weekend over at livingston, NJ..one of my favorite sushi restaurant.Zen.2 of us finished a bottle of wine..LOl The more you drink, the more you are happy ﹐ The more you speak ﹐ And I think sushi is too good [smile] [smile]
The food is amazing, the staff is courteous and efficient. They are keenly aware of the show schedules and served us quickly.
My mom and I ate at Livingston prior to our evening at the Fox Theatre. The restaurant is beautiful! Immediately upon seating we were showered with excellent service! The menu isn't extensive, but enough that all pallets can be pleased. The food was delicious and plentiful.
The restaurant locates in the historic hotel opposite of Fox theatre. Initially, we had not planned for any dinner but we change our mind right away after seeing the menu. From the description of each dish, it sounded like the chef has full inspiration for creating his food. As we expected, all dishes we ordered are really fresh and tasty. The service of our waiter was excellent: friendly, polite, and professional. With their food quality and service, we will certainly enjoy dining there again. Tip: try southern chicken stuffed with macaroni cheese, it is creative and tasty
This is located in the Georgian Hotel directly across from the Fox Theater. Unlike may restaurants in the area, you can get a reservation on the night of a show. While the convenience can't be beat, the food is quite good and the service excellent. There's a full bar with a good wine list, the menu is broad enough for most tastes and the prices are modest considering it's in an upscale hotel.
I feel compelled to write this review for visitors, go elsewhere in ATL. Let's start with making a reservation for 2pm on Open Table, only to be called the day of the reservation and told the kitchen closes at 2, i need to arrive by at least 1:45. Service was extremely slow; to the point of my boyfriend going to the bar to get drinks for us and he's a very patient man. We ordered the truffle chicken salad, there was no truffle flavor at all, but more disturbing, the bed of lettuce it set a top was brown at the edges and butt of the stalks; no QC. I had the chicken and waffle; the flavor wasn't bad but it was about 1/2 of a chicken breast and half a waffle. Not sure if that's the typical serving or if we got the we are about to close and this is it serving. He ordered the crab cake Benedict; again maybe it's just a Livingston thing, but it didn't come with an English muffin. Also it was cold and rather fishy. Maybe it was a bad day but I can only share my experience and I most certainly won't be going back to find out.
