J people were very satisfied with their Abu Dhabi guide (with itinerary)
I used to think the Middle East was only about yellow sand and scorching sun, until I went to Abu Dhabi. The white mosque shines under the blue sky, and the Louvre on the sea suddenly appears in the desert, like a divine sand table game.
If I had to describe Abu Dhabi in one word, I would choose "luxurious but understated";
If a few words: old money, calm, thriving growth
✅ Lazy person’s itinerary without early rising
DAY 1: Cultural exploration and photo spots
1️⃣ Louvre Abu Dhabi
▫️ Desert miracle, the hollow dome lets sunlight fall like rain, the building itself is a work of art
▫️ Not many exhibits, not comparable to the Louvre in Paris, when I went there was Van Gogh’s "Bedroom"
▫️ Great for photos everywhere, don’t miss the water runway and the sunken seating area facing the sea
2️⃣ Qasr Al Watan (Presidential Palace)
▫️ Nothing else, just wealth, gold everywhere, there is an exhibition hall with national gifts from various countries that is quite nice, a dazzling display
3️⃣ Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
▫️ Pure white, sacred, the exterior is made of white marble, the domes are gold, decorated with crystals everywhere
▫️ Go near sunset to capture the sunset dyeing the domes rose gold, and the peaceful blue hour
▫️ Actually, I’m still unhappy that women have to cover from head to toe to enter, but respect it
DAY 2: Yas Island fun
4️⃣ Warner Bros. Theme Park
▫️ Fully indoor theme park, rides are relatively old; fans of Warner Bros. IP can go, no Harry Potter
5️⃣ Ferrari World
▫️ Various thrilling roller coasters, including the world’s fastest roller coaster Formula Rossa, I didn’t dare
▫️ Rode an Italian scenery version of Soaring with Horizon, Viaggio in Italia, the screen isn’t immersive enough but okay, one of the milder rides
6️⃣ SeaWorld
▫️ Same as Liu Yifei’s, very photogenic, if you want to take photos, spend more time here
▫️ Antarctic-themed pavilion with penguins, but very cold, bring a jacket; Endless Ocean features a 20-meter underwater glass wall and a circular aquarium called "Ocean Capsule"
💡 TIPS
1. Transportation: Attractions are quite far apart, use Uber for taxis, no specific recommendations
2. Dress: Indoor air conditioning is strong, bring a light jacket; the Grand Mosque has a dress code, I used a scarf as a headscarf, wore a sun-protective shirt + long skirt + long pants covering the instep
3. Season: December in Abu Dhabi is comfortable, neither cold nor hot, very sunny at noon
4. Tips: Restaurant bills include service charge, no need to tip extra
5. Currency: Dirham (AED), no cash withdrawal, all paid by card 💳
