The Christmas spirit is alive at Disneyland! Visiting right at the start of the Christmas season on a weekday to avoid the crowds, I was surprised to find it still bustling with people. Unfortunately, there was no quick strategy to navigate through the crowd. Watching the parade is a must (shows at 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM), and it's truly worth it. Both the daytime and nighttime parades have their unique charm, and no matter how many times you watch, the music always brings tears to your eyes. We visited on Monday the 18th, and although we arrived late after picking up the kids from school, we still managed to catch the 5:30 parade and enjoy 6-7 rides. These were attractions we've been wanting to try for months but couldn't due to the crowds. The wait times in the evening were very manageable, especially during the parade and fireworks shows. We took advantage of the short 5-minute wait times during these events. After 9-10 PM, most rides had wait times of just 5-10 minutes. This season, everyone is eager to experience 'It's a Small World' with its Christmas decorations, which are perfect for photos and videos. The atmosphere is fantastic! Although the wait can be long, if you head there right after the fireworks, it's only about a 5-minute wait. Pro tip: visit early in the season before December when the crowds increase. I finally fulfilled a long-time dream: spending Christmas at Disneyland 🎄. The sunshine and climate in Los Angeles are incredibly pleasant, perfect for dressing up and taking beautiful photos (it's so much fun to come with friends! Snap away! Take tons of photos!). I highly recommend purchasing a Genie+ pass, which allows you to skip lines for many attractions—it's amazing! Plus, it includes PhotoPass, so staff can take high-quality photos for you! The Christmas parade 🏰🎀 runs until January 7, 2024, and it's absolutely stunning! If you haven't gone yet, hurry up! The carousel at night 🎠 is incredibly photogenic, so be sure to bring a camera and use the flash! Visited in late July! 🎉 Celebrating the 70th Anniversary 👏 ◆ Lightning Lane I paid for it, and it was incredibly convenient! While I’m not sure how it works for larger groups, as a solo traveler, I was able to pick up canceled reservations and move through the park smoothly. ◆ Food I enjoyed a meal that included access to the Fantasmic! viewing area. It was Mexican cuisine—not too spicy—and the meat was delicious! (Around 6,000 yen) ◆ Fantasmic! Viewing Area I entered about 45 minutes before the show started, but the front row in the center was already full. Since seating is on the ground, it’s a good idea to bring something to sit on. ◆ Genie Plus Highly recommended! It provided excellent suggestions for what to do next 👏 ◆ Other Notes Overall, expect prices to be about double what you’re used to. Sales tax is 7.75%. Interestingly, only Japanese visitors seemed to be carrying tote bags. I entered the park before 8 AM and waited in front of the castle until 8 AM. Today is the first day of the holiday season! I got up at 5 AM to get ready to go out because there would be traffic on a weekday. But when I saw the kids' new clothes for the first time, everything was worth it!
