Amazing place modern but with amazing history if you love Ancient Greek history! you can easily can spend 2 hours here looking at all the relics. I like that you can scan the barcode and there is free audio guide which the museum provides. I really enjoyed the museum after the acropolis it was fantastic day out. It has a lovely shop and cafe and you can see a beautiful sunset from there. Well worth the visit!
The modern, glass-filled architecture beautifully contrasts with the historic artifacts inside, offering views of the nearby Acropolis. The exhibits are thoughtfully arranged, showcasing sculptures, pottery, and relics from the Acropolis itself. The Parthenon Gallery was a highlight, with its stunning display of the temple’s original friezes and sculptures. Walking over the glass floors and seeing the archaeological ruins beneath added a unique perspective.
Worth the price. So much to look at and learn about. Make sure to visit the excavation area. The whole museum is built on top of ruins that they have preserved. There is a video on the top floor that explains the destruction of the Parthenon which was so interesting. You can spend at least 2 hours in the museum.
1. The weather is relatively hot, and it is also a good place to go to the museum. I stayed in the museum for more than two hours. There is air-conditioning. It is also good to go to the peak season. There are not many people. A very large venue, there are three floors, the second floor and the third floor have the best viewing location for taking pictures, you can see the opposite Acropolis. There is also a place to drink and eat light meals on the third floor, but you have to order something to sit. This museum is still worth seeing, the explanation in English is completely incomprehensible, it is recommended that you still find a way to buy Chinese explanations, otherwise you will feel very boring to go in and see. The statue on the second floor is not allowed to take pictures, but they just sent staff to patrol there, but many are also fakes, only a few are genuine. 2. Trip.com It is very convenient to place an order. It is an electronic ticket and you can scan the code. But you can also buy tickets when you go to the scene, and you don't have to queue at all! Adults are also 15 euros, cheaper than the price of Trip.com , I don't know why I have to buy 😂 online. In addition, to correct two errors to Trip.com , the prompt on the page made me mistakenly think that the elderly and children do not need to spend money, so I only bought the adult tickets for me and my husband, and when I arrived at the scene, I found that I still had to go to the ticket office to re-purchase the elderly and children. The price of the elderly is the same as the price of the adult 15 euros, and the child is 10 euros. In fact, the whole family still has to wait. It is recommended to bring the elderly and children to buy tickets directly on-site.
It is worth a visit. You don’t have to go to the Acropolis. Go directly to the Acropolis Museum. The cultural relics are in the museum.
Product reservations are relatively smooth, but the reservation day is actually the local Good Friday, and all attractions are adjusted to 12 o'clock to open the door. According to the page prompted by Trip.com , there is no prompt for the special situation of this day, I hope it can be improved later.
The museum offers free audio tours in English, which can be scanned with mobile phones. The exhibits are mainly around the Acropolis, some of the exhibits are transferred or rented in the middle, and filming is prohibited in some areas on the 2nd floor, which is a pity, it is recommended to spend more time to get a better experience
The ancient civilization is worth visiting.
