The three-headed elephant is the Erawan Elephant god in Thai folk tales. It is the mount of Indra, a god in Brahmanism. Indra is known to be the guardian of the heaven, Indra's name has the meaning of 'leader of the gods', while Erawan's name means rain, raincloud, rainbow. This is reflected in the myth that Indra would ride the Erawan Elephant and bestow rain upon the earth.
The construction of this three-headed elephant god began in 1994 and was slowly restored by hiring local handicraft artists. During the construction period, many miracles happened, so even now, countless people still go to worship it every day. It can be regarded as the elephant god who responds to all requests.

The Erawan museum very unique place in Bangkok. Not far from Chang Erawan BTS station. Tickets is a bit expensive, but you can take a lot of nice photos.
A stately museum of Thai art and faith! The museum is divided into 3 major parts: including heaven, earth, hell, each display different themes of Buddha statues, antiques and stories, the interior is fine sculpture, painted glass, powder and white series, everywhere is the design details, quite dreamy, like to punch in friends must come to take pictures.
The building is magnificent and meticulous, and it is a worth visiting attraction. The buffet food has many styles, but the taste is average.
The Erawan Museum is truly impressive. Its architecture is stunning, and the art inside is beautiful. What's even better is that the ticket price is quite affordable, making it a fantastic value.
