We spent a few days here and were absolutely swept off our feet. The entire city feels less like a modern town and more like an elaborate, honey-hued movie set. The Architecture: A Masterclass in Elegance Bath is famous for its glowing "Bath Stone," and seeing it in person is breathtaking. The Royal Crescent is, of course, the showstopper. Standing in front of that massive curve of Georgian townhouses, you half-expect a horse-drawn carriage to pull up at any second. · The Bridgerton Connection: We visited No. 1 Royal Crescent, which fans will recognize as the exterior of the Featherington family home. · The Circus & Pulteney Bridge: Walking through The Circus and across Pulteney Bridge makes you realize why this city is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Every street corner feels grand, symmetrical, and perfectly preserved. What makes Bath so special is how easy it is to find specific filming locations while just wandering around. · The Modiste: We stopped by The Abbey Deli (near the Roman Baths), which serves as the dress shop "Modiste" in the show. At the end of summer 2025, my family and I spent three nights in Bristol, including a day trip to Bath. We took it easy, strolling around and exploring at our own pace. Bath is quite small, so one full day is enough to see the main attractions. I highly recommend visiting the Roman Baths. They offer free audio guides in multiple languages, which made our visit much more engaging and meaningful. Afterwards, we went to the famous Circus. Simply sitting quietly among the towering trees for a few minutes was so relaxing. Reading about the history of the buildings online added even more depth to the experience. Another piece of stunning architecture, is the circus. This consists of three curved segments of Georgian townhouses, forming a circle. Be sure to stand in the middle, where you can marvel at the old oak trees, but also, to see if you can find the exact spot where anything you say will echo! Whilst in Bath, spend some time marvelling at the sights of the River Avon. Bath is a city that feels like stepping into both a Roman empire and a Jane Austen novel — all in one day. I arrived by train in the morning, and my first stop was the Roman Baths. The ancient hot springs, with steam rising mysteriously from the green water, were once a wellness retreat for Roman aristocrats. The museum gives a fascinating glimpse into life nearly 2,000 years ago. Don’t miss the temple ruins and the sacred curse tablets — eerie and poetic. Next, I visited the Jane Austen Centre, a must for literature lovers. Dressed-up guides greeted me in Regency costumes, and inside, I learned about Austen’s years in Bath. You can even dress up and take vintage-style photos — very fun! For lunch, I tried Sally Lunn’s Historic Eating House, home of the famous “Sally Lunn Bun.” I ordered one with roast beef and horseradish butter — rich, warm, and satisfying. For dessert, I had the sweet version with cinnamon butter and a pot of Earl Grey tea. In the afternoon, I walked up to the stunning Royal Crescent. The row of honey-colored Georgian townhouses curves like a smile over the green hills.
