based on 3150 reviewsThe Jane Austen Centre is a must for any enthusiasts of the writer. The presentation about Jane's life was very informative and brought to life by the presenter being dressed in the style of the day. I did feel however, that the entrance price was a little high and also items in the shop .

There are two relics in the ancient city of Bath, England, which are closely related to this city. One is the Roman baths which are more than 2,000 years old, and the other is the former residence of the British female writer Jane Austen, who lived and created here for more than 200 years. Her works are still vibrant and have a wide influence. I visited Jane Austen's former residence and revisited "Pride and Prejudice". The tedious and winding narrative still felt difficult to read. In fact, in terms of style, I prefer "Jane Eyre" and "Wuthering Heights" by the Bronte sisters. The literary immersion of being ordinary on the outside, unrestrained on the inside, and advocating equality comes from this. The vague memory left in the impression of reading is the scene of the English Highlands.
Before leaving the little room we were able to read a biography of Jane Austen, which had a glass display case and a great wax figure of Jane Austen. There was no furniture in the room, nor were there some of the personal touches you would find in the Bronte parsonage.
I have seen this old man next to the statue of Jane Austen countless times in other people's travel notes a long time ago. When he appeared again in a familiar scene, I felt a sense of familiarity. Although I knew him, he didn't know me. I told him that he is now very famous in China. With the promotion of the Internet, he is now almost as famous as Jane Austen.
On the way to the Royal Crescent, you will definitely pass by the Jane Austen Centre, a famous British female writer who wrote "Pride and Prejudice" and "Sense and Sensibility". This center reproduces Jane Austen's life and creative scenes in Bath, and there are films introducing Jane Austen's life, works and love.
The museum is small but the guide did a great job and you could clearly feel her passion for Jane Austen. The same can be said of the staff in the gift shop - super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
