Tonghui River

Tonghui River is located in the east of Beijing, the Yuan Dynasty excavated the canal road. It was built by Guo Shoujing. From the beginning of the year 29 (1292) to the completion of the 30 (1293) Yuan Shizu named the river "Tonghui River". The earliest excavated Tonghui River is from Shenshan Spring in Baifu Village, Changping County, through Lushanbo (now Kunming Lake) to Jishuitan and Zhongnanhai, from Wenmingmen (now Chongwenmen), eastward, and south-east of Yangzha Village, Chaoyang District today, to Tongzhou Gaolizhuang (now Zhangjiawan Village) into the Luohe (now the former road of the North Canal), The length is 82 km. The river from Lushanbo to Jishuitan is called the Gaoliang River in the Yuan Dynasty.

I ran another section of Tonghui River this morning, close to Guangqu Road. I haven't come here for a long time. I like to see the old guys smoking and fishing by the river. It's so casual... There are many faces running on the opposite side that look familiar, and they are all running here all year round. The view in the summer morning is always very good, and the clouds are very beautiful today.

I ran back to the Tonghui River in the morning. It was quite comfortable on some cloudy days in the morning. When the sun came out after the run, I felt that the weather was stuffy and panicked. It must be raining... Now the green plants on both sides of the Straits have arrived in the lush season, which is more eye-catching than the bare eyes in winter. It's just that the morning run will be out of the sun earlier in the future.

The Tonghui River, east to the Grand Canal, and the Xida Jishuitan, was the main transport of grain from the south of the Royal Water System in the past.
