There is a proverb in Beijing: "The lions on Lugou Bridge are too numerous to count." This bridge with countless lions was built in 1189. It is a joint arch stone bridge with a total length of about 266 meters and 281 pillars, each of which is carved with lions. If you don't count carefully, you really can't count them! These lions are really interesting. They are big and small. The big ones are dozens of centimeters high, and the small ones are only a few centimeters, and even the nose and eyes can't be seen clearly. Their shapes are different: some squat on the stone pillars, as if roaring at the distance; some lower their heads, as if concentrating on listening to the sound of water under the bridge; some little lions nestle in the arms of the mother lion, as if they are sleeping soundly; some little lions hide behind the big lions, as if they are playing interesting games; and some little lions are probably too naughty and are pressed to the ground by the big lions with their claws... The lions on Lugou Bridge are of different sizes and shapes, and it is really difficult to count them clearly. But cultural relics workers have counted them, a total of 501.

Wanping County Government Office is in the north, and Lugou Posthouse is in the south. They are both near the east gate of Wanping City, east of the Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall. There is also a bookstore east of Wanping County Government Office. The Qieting Courtyard on the right side of the County Government Office is cleverly named, and there seem to be many stone gates, stone tablets, and stone pillars inside the red gate...
The Wanping County Office is not open to the public, so you can only look at the entrance. However, the office is relatively small, smaller than the county office in Pingyao Ancient City, and there are no stone lions and injustice drums at the entrance. You can just walk through the city and take a look.
In Wanping City, on the north side of the road, the gate of the county government opens to the south. It is usually locked and not open to tourists. The county government is not big, with several courtyards and each house is not very big. The layout is similar to the layout of the Siheyuan in Beijing. There is an introduction to the county government on one side of the gate of the government office. The current county government feels newly built. Across the road from the government office is Lugou Posthouse, a former post station.
A relatively well-preserved building from that time in Wanping County, but this building is usually not open to the public. Tourists can only admire it from outside. Wanping County has only one main street, which is not too long, and the main buildings are on both sides of this street.
