Beijing Yonghe Temple | The premier temple of the Qing Dynasty court, from which two emperors emerged.
After a hiatus of seven years, I find myself back in the imperial city of Beijing, where the rain continues to fall as it always has. The northern rain, which I last experienced at the Forbidden City seven years ago, now pours down on the Yonghe Temple. From the royal residence of Emperor Yongzheng to the highest-ranking Buddhist temple in the late Qing Dynasty, the Yonghe Temple, which shares the same grandeur as the Forbidden City, has now become a popular attraction on social media.
【History】
In the 33rd year of Emperor Kangxi's reign (1694), he built a mansion here and bestowed it upon his fourth son, Yin Zhen, which later became the residence of Prince Yong. In the ninth year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1744), the Yonghe Temple was converted into a Lama Temple, becoming the center of the Qing government's control over Tibetan Buddhism nationwide. Because it was the birthplace of Emperors Yongzheng and Qianlong, it is known as the "Dragon's Hidden Land of Blessing."
【Layout】
The Yonghe Temple mainly consists of three exquisite archways and five grand halls. It covers an area of 66,400 square meters, with over a thousand halls and rooms. The front part includes seven buildings: Zhaotai Gate, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Yonghe Gate, Yonghe Palace, Scripture Hall, and Tantric Hall. The halls in the back rise in succession, symbolizing the solemn auspiciousness of the Buddha's world.
【Highlights】
⭐Yonghe Palace: The palace has a yellow glazed tile roof with a hip and gable top. Inside, there are three bronze gilded Buddha statues and eighteen Arhat statues covered in gold leaf.
⭐Falun Hall: The "one large, four small" five Tibetan-style skylights on the roof of the hall symbolize Mount Sumeru surrounded by the four continents.
⭐Wanfu Pavilion: Standing 25 meters tall, it is the tallest building in the Yonghe Temple complex. Inside, there is a 26-meter-tall wooden statue of Maitreya Buddha, carved from a single piece of sandalwood.
⭐Three Woodcarving Wonders: The Five Hundred Arhats Mountain, the Sandalwood Buddha (Maitreya Buddha in the Wanfu Pavilion), and the Nanmu Buddha Shrine.

Teacher Chang's explanation is really good, especially in place, how to worship Buddha, each hall is introduced in detail. The historical and cultural heritage is very deep, friendly, children especially love to listen, do not sell consumption, very recommended. Personally, I feel that Mr. Chang's explanation can increase the price.
The mansions of the two emperors are now the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Beijing. The seven-inn yard can be turned around in an hour if not every room is incenseed. To open the light, the law inside look at the picture, see a string of honey wax Buddha beads more than 320,000 is still quite shocking, of course you can also bring your own items to open the light.
The architecture of the Lama Palace is magnificent, with red walls and yellow tiles, and magnificent. The scarlet gate is solemn and solemn, and the copper rust on the door ring tells the story of the years. When you enter the palace gate, you will see a spacious courtyard with blue slabs on the ground, clean and simple. The cypresses on both sides of the courtyard are lush, as if loyal guardians guard this sacred land.
The Lama Palace is usually very crowded and the incense is very strong. It is said that Beijing is the most accurate place for boys to seek careers and wealth. The location is in Dongcheng District. It's quite big inside, free incense can be provided
Teacher Hu has a thick accumulation of hair, the explanation is interesting and vivid, the scenes and things in front of him are alive, the past seems to be in the present, the past life of the Lama Temple is fully presented, the whole explanation process is 3 hours, fascinating, for this change of train, value!
Come to Beijing for a business trip "take a day off to see the Lama Palace" really have to choose decisively with a tour guide, it is really worth it. The tour guide led this time is Mr. Zhuang. The person is very funny, the talk is very meticulous, it is quite worth it, there are many other questions that can be explained patiently. Also help us not to take detours, highly recommended
The top of the Lama Temple is worth going! I saw the baby in the palace, which was an eye-opener and a worthwhile trip. Tibetan incense burns around, and the top of the lama seems to pass a little bit of Buddha's side, and I have realized a little bit of Buddha's shadow. Fortunately, Mr. Li Yonggen introduced us. Mr. Li Bogutong Jin introduced the past and present life of the Lama Temple very carefully. He explained the history of the origin, Buddhist rituals, and magical treasures very clearly. How to petition incense, How to find the hand string method is clearly stated, very patient and friendly, like a good friend to accompany us to visit the Buddha. The Lama Temple is very clean. If there is no explanation of this road, this line may be really chaotic and chaotic, and there is a big regret.
As a senior interpreter of the Summer Palace, the explanation service provided by the teacher of Jing Zhuangyuan Yu was well received. Her explanation is in-depth and meticulous, and she can fully cover the history, culture, treasure collection and customs of the Summer Palace in three hours. The audience was able to gain a wealth of knowledge in this explanation, and even felt that time was passing by and the meaning was still unfinished. Especially for us, the way the teacher explained us was so relished that we had a deeper understanding of the history of the Summer Palace and Tibetan Buddhism. Therefore, the teacher's explanation is highly valued and will highly recommend to friends around him.
