McWay Falls

The waterfall is here in Dassel, and it is also a popular attraction on Highway 1, but our time relationship has abandoned this attraction. It is a pity. If you have enough time, don’t miss the attraction.

McWay Falls is a 24-meter waterfall off the coast of Big Sur, central California, that flows into the Pacific Ocean year-round from the McWay Creek at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. It falls directly into the sea when the tide is high. The waterfall's overlooking trail is a must for anyone travelling along the scenic Highway 1 on the Greater Thurs coast.

It occupies the most advantageous observation point along Highway 1 in Greater Sur, which is our favorite. It's free and easy to reach, but it's hard to park and can only be parked along the shoulder. You can't go down to the beach, but it does look beautiful. Interestingly, at the beginning of the 20th century, the land at the main vantage point was somebody's home. I am very interested in the history of this place.

Beautiful place and sitting looking at the sea. Maybe we missed another exit but the stairs were closed with the door renovated with air conditioning. We watched a few motherboards climb over and then visit the stairs, but with small children couldn’t do it. Someone is on the beach, so they somehow got here. Still, it's worth the scenery you stop by.

Beautiful waterfall and view. Unfortunately the path was destroyed and hopefully it can be rebuilt and at least the rest of the way to see the waterfall. We stayed at the Big Sur hotel and got a pass to enter this park and two other parks. Otherwise need to pay. Very beautiful.
