The former 々 was built as a branch of the Okayama Prefectural Police Saidaiji Police Station, which was built in 1897, and then was the Ushiso Police Station until 1952. It's a pretty quaint building, with a large sotetsu tree planted in front of it. Now, materials related to the Korean Communications Envoy and Ushido no Danjiri who stopped by during the Edo period are on display.
It uses the building of the former Ushido Police Station, and the large police coat of arms still shines at the entrance. Half of them are Kaiyu Cultural Center, and the rest are local gathering facilities as public halls. The sea travel culture museum has an exhibition of local festivals and an exhibition of the Korean envoy mission.
This museum is a renovated old police station in Ushiso, and there are materials about Danjiri, a traditional autumn tradition of Ushiso, and the Korean Communications Envoy who stayed in Ushiso during the Edo period.
