Came to Brighton Music Hall to see Mickey Guyton perform. It is very roomy so if you arrive to the event early you can be right at the front row! Staff was friendly and the concert was fun!

Solid Small Venue Surrounded By Good Eats In Gritty Neighborhood (But It's Fine!)

Saw Boy & Bear here last week, super intimate venue and two bars to meet your drink needs. Pro Tip: Get your drinks from the back bar! Plenty of space to move around, great beer selection, they take cash or card (saw another person saying they don't take cash, but back bar does) and if you prefer you can stand just off-stage to be closer to the band and meet them before/after since this is a way lax security venue. Sound quality was fine, but again we stood to the right of the main stage instead of in front of the stage. Merch room was convenient if you wait for the crowd to thin post-show. They turn on the house lights quick and usher you out shortly thereafter, so be ready to leave when the show concludes, you maybe have 15-20 minutes max. Surrounding Neighborhood can seem a bit dicey, a bit gritty with garbage on the ground and graffiti and stickers covering everything, but it's fine. You do you, act like you know where you're going and you'll be fine. Side Note: Google street view shows a different era of this area...lots of the restaurants have either changed hands or are closed now. You have to go a few blocks to find a place that serves alcohol and also food, but if you're just looking for food then there are heaps of options in little store-front restaurants that seem to specialize in Asian, Mexican and Mediterranean food.

Rubbish

They don’t take cash which is utterly ridiculous. Covid is over and cash is legal tender. Outrageous. Plus I asked for one of the cocktails and this miserable girl behind the bar poured some white rum and orange juice into a standard highball glass, tried to add something from the gun that didn’t come out and then gave me the ‘cocktail’. When I asked if that was it and pointed out that that wasn’t exactly a cocktail that was just a rum and orange I was told there was supposed to be lime but they had no fresh lime. I just took them because I’d waited for ages even though there was only one person infront of me. Such a joke.
