Glenside Hospital Museum is located in Stapleton/Fishponds to the North East of Bristol City and is housed inside the purpose built church which sits in the grounds of the former hospital site. The original asylum buildings are occupied by part of the UWE university campus, and the NHS Blackberry Hill psychiatric hospital which still handles psychiatric care. Neither are open to the public, however the vast impressive size of the site can be appreciated.

The Glenside Hospital Museum was founded in the 1950s by Dr. Donal F. Early, a psychiatric consultant at Glenside Hospital. The building where the museum is located was originally a church built in 1861 and is rated as a second-class protected building in the UK. The museum collection includes medical tools, video materials and works donated by some painters at Glenside Hospital during the 1st century.
