based on 7142 reviewsBeautiful Cathedral with so much to see.Couple of hints for your visit.1. Watch the lines and get in line when they go down. I watched the line go from 30 down to none and back up to 30 in 10 minutes.2. The cost is 10 Euros but they offered discount for pilgrims on the Camino and cost 5 Euros.3. Once you pay look to the right if you need to lock something and you will need 1 Euro to get the key out but you get the Euro back when you reinsert your key.4. The cathedral is rather large and takes at least 1.5 hours at a minimum.5. I would recommend you looking up so information prior to arrival as you will see that it is definitely worth a visit.6. Burgos Cathedral is located in Burgos, northern Spain. It is the third largest Catholic church in Spain and an independent cathedral declared as a cultural heritage of humanity. In 1221, King Ferdinand III of the Kingdom of Castile ordered its construction, which took more than three centuries to complete. The church is a Gothic building that is compatible with other artistic styles. The front door of forgiveness has star-shaped rose windows and arched decorations with statues of kings of successive dynasties. The towers on both sides are about 84 meters high, and the top is a fifteenth-century carved spire. The dome of the nave inside is a Mudejar-style vault, and the hero El Cid and his wife rest below. The golden staircase combines Gothic and Renaissance styles. In addition, there are 19 chapels and many precious works of art. Walking through them is like traveling through the long river of history. Every detail tells stories of the past, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a strong historical and cultural atmosphere.
