Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo

Calgary Zoo is one of the best zoos in the world, especially known for its efforts to restore endangered wildlife. Visit the majestic African Quarter, home to Canada's underwater hippo observation pool; the Botanical Gardens; the Prehistoric Park and the Canadian Wilderness, a safe place to view grizzly bears, cougars and many other mammals and native Canadian birds. The giant pandas Da Mao, Er Shun and twin babies Panpan and Yueyue, who originally lived at the Toronto Zoo, have also moved to the Calgary Zoo since May 2018.
