Cool Furnace
Beautiful park. The furnace is pretty cool. Definitely something to see on a free day. We enjoyed our experience.

This is one of those small parks on the Etowah River right before it goes to Lake Alltoona. You can see the remains of the furnace of course but, there are some trails as well. The park is owned b...
Interesting and scenic at the end of the road
This was once a thriving industrial site but now is remembered only with the ruins of an iron furnace. Picnic shelters, restrooms and river recreation.
Just a stop while in area
Stopped to see while in area, was bit of local history. Drive to get to is on a river road, so has good scenic views but just one thing to actually see and could not get close do to area being planted...
Wonderful
Dad gets to pick the hike on Father’s Day and this was a great pick! Beautiful, historic and a good hike! Many different places to hike with many different terrains. Totally worth the trip.
