Are you reviewing City Hall? Right. Yes, I am. First of all, I will say that we did not go to the actual service at Cook County City Hall. The only reason we went is that my fiance and I are Blues Brothers and we felt that you could not go to Chicago and not see where Jack and Ellroy ran from law enforcement from pretty much the entire city of Chicago. We walked through the Honorable Richard J. Daley Plaza, “See Where They Got Picassos From,” and walked right into Cook County City Hall. I was surprised there were no metal detectors, but there were signs saying no guns, that’s right guys, just no weapons please. Maybe there are metal detectors upstairs? It would have been awesome to be able to walk around. We did not go to the Assessor’s office. It was about lunch time though, so he might be back in five minutes. We asked an officer if there were any signs or plaques dedicated to the Blues Brothers, and the officer we asked, did the overseer give us a blank stare before? The officer came over and talked to us. Very nice lady. She told us, unfortunately, that there were no signs (which was disappointing), but she was able to share some tidbits about how they make the movie and where it was filmed. Some facts we knew, some new, but we enjoyed our visit. Even if you're not a Blues Brothers fan, the interior is gorgeous, the architecture is beautiful, and everyone was so nice and polite to us. We were worried and concerned the entire time we were there that we would be kicked out or yelled at for taking pictures, but most of the staff were more than willing to give us information. Maybe they should start giving Blues Brothers or Al Capone tours.

The weather is getting colder day by day. Chicago is also relatively cold, but the temperature is not worse than New York. It is quite nice to visit the city hall and the downtown area. I am quite happy.
Chicago City Hall is a neoclassical building. The three-dimensional hanging sculptures at the entrance of the building represent four aspects that Chicago government attaches most to: playgrounds, schools, parks and water systems. The garden was built on the roof of the town hall in 2001 to experiment with the inhibition of the urban heat island effect by roof greening.
Chicago City Hall is home to the Chicago City Council and Cook County offices. It is surrounded by Randolph Street, La Salle Street, Washington Street and Clark Street. It is 11 floors high and has a classical revival style. It was put into use in 1911. The entrance to Chicago City Hall is lined with four granite reliefs representing four major issues of concern to the city: sports fields, schools, parks and water supply. A rooftop garden was established in 2001 and opened to the public in the summer.
The center of the skyscraper museum is very solemn with the main columns in the center. Classical Greek style still retains its beauty after a century, and the most attractive is the roof garden above. Become a rare oasis in the entire steel forest
