Navy Pier

Nice place. This was in winter during Christmas. A lot of fun!!!

We recently visited Navy Pier in Chicago, and it was such a fun experience! Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a local like us from Arlington Heights, Navy Pier truly offers something for everyone.The atmosphere is lively, with beautiful lakefront views and a great mix of activities. We loved walking along the pier, taking in the sights of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline — it’s the perfect place for a relaxing stroll.

Chicago's staple of must visit place that is friendly for all ages from children's museums, seasonal events, ferris wheels to bars, dining cruises, and rooftop! Navy pier has it all. Highly recommend checking out one of the biggest roof top bars overseeing the lake and city and enjoying an architectural tour on the sea dog. you definitely cannot miss classic deep dish pizza they offer at the pier.

If you want to unlock a different night view of Chicago, you must visit Navy Pier. There are not many tourists in Chicago at night, and everything is quiet. Sit on a bench by the sea, feel the sea breeze, and overlook the dimly lit city skyline of downtown Chicago. This is also Chicago's iconic attraction. The atmosphere is different during the day and at night. The brightly lit Ferris wheel, order a beer and sit outdoors, looking up at the starry night sky. The pier was built in 1914-1916. It was also the largest pier in the world at the time. It was once used as a naval training base, so it was named Navy Pier. Today, the pier is mainly used for public transportation and short-distance passenger ships. There are also the Chicago Children's Museum and amusement parks around it. It is also a large pier park suitable for parent-child travel.

This is a really nice place, we walked the length of the pier and had an amazing view of the city at the end. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby and even a children's museum. It was a shame there was construction going on everywhere while we were there, but the pier itself is worth seeing. Both the bus and city tours stop at the pier.

Navy Pier is a must-see in Chicago. You order your meal as soon as you arrive at Giordano's and you have 45-60 minutes to explore the pier and its stunning views. Don't miss the Centennial Wheel - we went at sunset and it was stunning. There are lots of shops, restaurants and a variety of activities for all ages.

Navy Pier is a great place for all ages. There are lots of shops and restaurants. There are fireworks twice a week at 9:30 pm in the summer. We rode the huge Ferris wheel to get a better view of the area. The Children's Museum is great for kids. The Pier is free to visit, but the shops are expensive.

We were lucky enough to spend a weekend in Chicago in December. The temperatures were above average and the morning drive along the lake shore to the end of Navy Pier was spectacular. Nothing was open but the views were incredible. We spent over an hour walking here. Not sure how it would fare on a freezing cold day but worth it!
