#chinaadventures #travel #thingstodo #chongqing Located strategically near the historically significant Ciqikou and specially constructed with a 360º rotating stage, Chongqing 1949 is a show not to be missed at the Chongqing 1949 theatre (Shapingba District). Tickets can be bought online or at ticket sales booths set up at certain parts of Ciqikou, especially near the theatre. Choose your seat carefully as there are fixed and rotating areas which will impact your viewing experience. I personally didn't fancy moving and feeling nauseous, so I chose the fixed area. At one point of the show, the set came very close to us. The rotating area is closer to the stage. Ciqikou can be accessed easily via subway or DiDi. The Chongqing 1949 theatre is just a few minutes' walk from the historic town of Ciqikou. There's an eatery at the basement but it was closed when we were there. The seats are available for visitors to rest. Aside, there's also a drinks booth and a souvenir-and-ticketing shop.
