What travelers say:

One of the three major Confucius Temples in China, the head of the Yaoyou School Palace, was built in the Ming Dynasty. Although there was no Zhuangyuan in the area, it has preserved a large ancient building group with very northwest characteristics. There are not many tourists. It is very worth seeing.

Additional Information

Introduction

The Temple of Confucius is located on Chongwen Street in Liangzhou District, Wuwei. Inside the temple you will find many historic architectures, including Chongsheng Hall (the Hall of Tribute to the Sage), Zunjing Pavilion (the Pavilion of Honoring the Classics) and Zhuangyuan Bridge (the Bridge of the No. 1 Scholar). Lots of historic trees add to the primitive atmosphere found at every corner of this area. Here you can admire not only the ancient architectures, but also a number of cultural relics of the museum collection. Hanging up in front of the historic architectures are many inscribed plaques for your to appreciate. Among them some are very unique in that inscription is in the ancient Uyghur Khaganate language or the ancient dynasty Western Xia's language.
