Many people, like us, choose to walk down the North slope. It takes about 14 kilometers to walk down the North slope.

It is steep, challenging and has a good scenery. The trees in the back hill are lush and wild flowers are blooming. You can see the panorama of Datong on the hill. You can also see the Niangniang Mountain and the Great Wall from a distance. It is a good place to go. The timid can go up the back hill. The front hill and the back hill are good choices, but when taking photos, we need to pay attention to safety. Laoye Mountain is located on the east side of Datong County, Xining City, also known as Beiwudang, about 45 minutes' drive from Xining City.
