As the first Disney resort in mainland China, Shanghai Disney Resort is a world-class family entertainment destination. It features Shanghai Disneyland Park, an entertainment district, two themed hotels, recreational facilities, a lake, and associated transportation hubs. One unique aspect about Shanghai Disney is the way the park incorporates Chinese tastes into its design. With plenty to do and fun for people of all ages, the Shanghai Disney Resort is certainly one of the city’s premiere attractions.

Close to Shabghai Disneyland in Pudong there are many small bed & breakfast where you can enjoy the weekend away from the city or gather with friends to celebrate birthday parties❣. The weather has not disappointed recently and the pool was very welcomed by many of us. The area is remote and great for walks or early morning runs. This is a very rural area and it's best you organize your own food and drinks 🍸 😉
Our visit to Disney Shanghai was absolutely not planned but once there we said to ourselves that we might never come back and that it was an opportunity to compare with our dear Disneyland Paris.
What differentiates the two parks? The atmosphere ! This is the thing that struck us the most. In Shanghai we have absolutely not found the magic of the French park, far from it.
The attractions ! The one in Shanghai is the last of the Disney parks to be built. The attractions are therefore very modern, futuristic and less "classic" than those in Paris, there are several attractions in particular in 3D. Let's say that in Shanghai the attractions are more based on the experience than on the thrills. In spite of everything, some of them really messed up our hair, special mention for Tron.
The stars of the park! And yes, the references are not the same as with us. Here B-max, Stitch, Tron, Avengers and Zootopia are the Disney classics. Only points in common with us: Alice in Wonderland and Pirates of the Caribbean. Note that we have also seen Pikachu in the shops of the park.
Technology ! Here everything happens on mobile, fast passes, photos in attractions, payments etc. The Chinese ! Admittedly, there weren't many visitors, but everyone who was there was playing the game thoroughly. The majority were in disguise or wore Disney accessories.
Selfie Spot with Mickey,Soaring,TRON Realm, Pixar Toy Story Land,Frozen A Sing-Along Celebration etc...
Everything was awesome!!!
Among them, "Pirates of the Caribbean Battle for the Sunken Treasure" was great quality as I expected.

Shanghai Disneyland is a theme park located in Chuansha New Town, Pudong, Shanghai, China, that is part of the Shanghai Disney Resort. We went there on National holiday so we paid almost 600 for the ticket per person. You can get there by metro, line 11 and get off to Disney Resort Station.
Shanghai Disneyland is stunningly beautiful. From the largest castle in the Disney realm to the Voyage to the Crystal Grotto that takes you under the storybook kingdom to the magnificent (and explorable) life-size pirate ship, every inch of Shanghai Disneyland is worth studying.
Getting There - Subway station : Disney Resort (line 11) + about 5-7mins walk from there.
Food & Restaurants - Disneyland:A lot of ice cream and snack options. Some “meal” options but very expensive (over 100¥ for a burger combo).
Disneytown : More food options such as Cheesecake Factory and Blue Frog. Still quite expensive but the food is better.
Shopping - Tons of souvenirs shops.
Rides- Long lines but Tron was definitely worth it!! The dwarves mine was a lot of fun too.
I went there solo and still had a fun time!
I’m also not much of a Disney fan but I loved the atmosphere!
There’s an option for a 2 days pass - If you’re very much into Disney it might be worth it for you so you get to explore everything.
If you’re like me and just want to “go with the flow” then I’d say a day pass is enough.
Enjoy your Disneyland experience!
