King Kong City is the core of Taihe City and is the Nanzhao Summer Palace, where the "Diamond Sutra" gifted by the Tang king is enshrined. But it is mainly for military functions, and the famous Tianbao war was completed here.
Taihe City was originally a city built by Heman (the ancestor of the Bai people). In the 25th year of Tang Kaiyuan (737 AD), Nanzhao King Piroge, with the support of the Tang Dynasty, captured Taihe City. In the following year (AD 738), Taihe City was used as the capital to establish the Nanzhao regime until the 14th year of the Tang Dali (AD 779) Nanzhao King Yimou moved his capital to Yangjumei City (now west of Dali Ancient City), which lasted 42 years. Taihe City was the capital of the early Nanzhao period.
The oldest history is inside, the oldest Dali capital.
Others may not like this kind of ruins. I think it's okay. There are not many details, so I can imagine more.
It's a place worth visiting. The family is very satisfied and worth it! Its Nanzhao Dehua monument is here, and the prosperity of the past is gone, and it feels like there is nothing to see.
