During the day, they usually sleep or chill up in the trees 🌳 like this, and they are most active in the morning and at dusk. Their tails are super long! They use them for balance, wrapping around themselves for warmth in cold areas, and steering when they move. If you look closely, the tail has very distinct black and brown rings. 🎉I took three days off before the Labor Day holiday, choosing to travel during off-peak times to avoid the crowds and enjoy a leisurely time in Dalian. 🎉The first day's itinerary started from Xinghai Square. I checked into the Grand Hyatt Dalian. Although the rooms weren't big and the soundproofing was average, going downstairs led directly to Xinghai Square and Xinghai Bay. The beach was within walking distance for strolling and relaxing. The hotel's sea view room had an excellent view, overlooking the cross-sea bridge. The spicy beef rice noodles for breakfast were especially delicious. I ordered Haiding sea urchin dumplings in advance for takeout. The fresh and sweet sea urchin dumplings were unforgettable, but the shrimp balls and shrimp soup rice were just average. 🎉In the afternoon, I went to Xinghai Bay to feed the seagulls, and then took a taxi to the North Gate of Dalian Forest Zoo to take the Haida Cableway. From the North Gate, I took the cable car to the Lotus Mountain Viewing Platform, where I could enjoy a panoramic view of the city and the sea, and then took the cable car to the South Gate. The South Gate is right next to the cross-sea bridge. For dinner, I enjoyed tuna sashimi and sushi at Xiansheng Sheng Sushi. Although the price was high, the quality was excellent. After dinner, I strolled to Zhongshan Square and admired the Internet-famous clock and European-style buildings. 🎉The second day was all about leisure and relaxation. In the morning, I sat on the beach rocks watching the waves and spacing out, followed by a two-hour travel photoshoot from Lingjiaowan to Yinshatan. The Internet-famous cave view at Yinshatan was very small, and I didn't wait because there were too many people in line. At 4pm, I went to Shanmu Japanese Cuisine and enjoyed sea urchin rice, sushi platters, and other delicacies. The average cost was CNY 600 per person, but it was worth it. Unfortunately, the smell of fresh paint from the recent renovation slightly affected the experience. 🎉In the evening, I went to Haichang Venice Water City, a 1:1 replica of Venice. The lights were brilliant at night. On the way back, I caught the Xinghai Square light show. The cross-sea bridge and the square lights complemented each other, bringing the trip to a perfect end. The whole trip was a relaxing and pleasant experience, enjoying the food and experiencing Dalian's unique coastal scenery while avoiding the Labor Day holiday crowds.

#chinatravel Dalian Forest Zoo is considered one of the best in all of China. 🇨🇳 📎 It's home to over 300 species and 3000 animals! We're talking pandas, camels, capybaras, ostriches, giraffes, lions, hyenas, and even a rhino! All the zoo residents are living their best life. The enclosures are super clean, and the animals look super well-cared for. 👍 The place seems huge at first glance, but hopping from one enclosure to the next, you won't even notice how you end up at the far end! For those not into walking 🚶♀️, there are open-top buses cruising around. They run on two loop routes and slowly (but non-stop!) drive past all the animal areas. 🔖 Zoo ticket costs 60 yuan per person. This includes the botanical garden, panda park, and all the animal exhibits. 🐼🌿 💛 I totally recommend getting a taxi 🚕. No subway stations nearby, and all the buses take either forever or involve transfers. For us two, a taxi from Zhongshan Square was only 26 yuan. Got there quick and comfy!
