Dingzhou Confucian Temple was built in the middle of the Tang Dynasty, all the dynasties have been repaired and renovated, the current buildings are mostly built in the Qing Dynasty. The most famous Confucian Temple in Dingzhou is the Snow Wave Stone of Song and Su Dian, and the East Po Shuang Dian. Unfortunately, many cultural relics in Dingzhou recently were not open for repair.
Dingzhou Confucian Temple, also known as "Confucius Temple", is located in No. 1 Daogun Street, Dingzhou City, Hebei Province. In the late Tang Dynasty (about 857 ～858), Dingzhou Shuai Lu Jian asked for the abolition of Buddhist temple to create Dingzhou Confucian Temple. Dingzhou Confucian Temple covers an area of 12629.4 square meters, divided into two parts, North and South, North Courtyard sits in the north facing south, there are three adjacent courtyards in East, West and Middle, the architectural layout is the central axis. The main buildings of the East Courtyard are Chongsheng Temple and Kuixing Pavilion; the Central Courtyard is Dacheng Hall, Tuen Mun, Kou Xing Gate; and the Western Courtyard is Minglun Hall. The Confucian Temple in Dingzhou is the most preserved and the most complete confucian temple building in Hebei Province.
It is a well-preserved Confucian Temple building in Hebei. The surrounding environment is a bit worse, and it’s okay inside. There is a vocational college next to it, occupying the original place. There are introductions of Dongpo Shuanghuai and the characters, not big but quiet and calm.
Several of the most varied classical gates are fascinating as this is a solemn and sacred place, and the Confucian Temple of Dingzhou, which has a history of thousands of years, is located here
