For us, the most attractive part of the Zwinger Palace is the ancient master gallery. The entrance is "Sleeping Venus". The author said it was Titian or Giorgione. The treasure of the town hall is "The Sistine Madonna", a huge one, suitable for viewing from far and near.
It's called a gallery, it's actually a 6-story art gallery, with a lot of huge oil paintings, and a sculpture gallery. Due to limited time, we only visited a few famous masterpieces under the leadership of a local guide. What you like can really be soaked for a day, and taste it carefully.
This gallery is a very majestic building. It has three floors. The exhibits on each floor have works of various themes and eras. It is also the essence of a great 14th to 18th century Europeanization.
Located in the Zwinger Palace, there are many exhibits from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Among them, Raphael's "Sistine Madonna" is said to be one of the most famous Madonna in art history. Admission is free with the Dresden Museum Card.
I really like watching oil paintings. It's a feast. The feeling of seeing the original works and the printed works is completely different. From the first time I went to Europe and came into contact with oil paintings, I have liked it very much. Even if I don’t know the author and the background, seeing the works I like will make me feel happy and relaxed.
