Sandfly Bay Track

Located in the easternmost part of a peninsula east of Danidine. As its name, the wind and sand are really big. After watching the albatross, we drove about 45 minutes from the Royal Albatross Center, but it was a winding mountain road. The road was very narrow. Be careful to drive. When you arrive here, you can park on the side of the road, and then you can enter through two protective doors. You can walk all the way to the beach. You can see the magnificent sea view and flocks of cattle and sheep. You can also see penguins and seals below. It is very worthwhile and free.

This bay is a relatively original environment, and even we were surprised to find that there are sea lions on the beach, and then there are other seabirds that are not usually seen, which are very treasured places.

I think this beach should be home to animals, humans come here to feel like an alien species, can see a lot of sea birds, and like sea lion seals.

It is not the most beautiful beach in New Zealand, it can only be regarded as medium, but if you live nearby, it is indeed a good place to relax, not far from the beach, it is a grassland.

Sandfly Bay is about 15 kilometers east of Danitin on the Otago Peninsula, with magnificent views, sea lions, seabirds and rocks. The area is very windy and will blow the surrounding sand onto the beach, which is named for it.
