Cool evening on the way back from the day trip hot spring Haba no Yu. There is nothing in particular. However, I spent a relaxing time looking at Hakata Bay. There was a small shrine, but I wonder if this is like a annex of some shrine.
If you walk on the road next to the building where Iki, Tsushima and the municipal ferry stop at Hakata Wharf are located, you will reach this park. Walk from downtown Fukuoka toward the sea, and the sunset park is beyond Hakata Port Tower. I visited at noon, so I couldn't see the sunset, but the benches were full with locals fishing and dates. It's not big, but I spent a relaxing time looking at Shiga Island and watching ferry and ships coming and going to Busan.
