I went to the observatory where you can visit the quarry (the tour fee is 1,000 yen) and rent a bicycle to walk halfway around the island. Everything was a good experience, but I felt the biggest tourist asset was the slow-moving island time. It is convenient to take a boat and you can enjoy the extraordinary feeling of a short boat trip.
