I went to see a booklet called Japanese history that tells about the oni tiles of Suzunaru Shrine in 1583. Many medieval relics remain in Onomichi, but I think the Onigawara of Suzunaru Shrine in Fukuyama is also the oldest of the Onigawara remaining in the Chugoku region in 1538. Relics of the 14th and 15th centuries remain in Onomichi. It is made by a tile carpenter in Banshu, Hyogo Prefecture, but the Onigawara of Senjokaku, Itsukushima Shrine in Hiroshima, also remains Banshu.
