What travelers say:

The Grand Canyon is a red rock fault on both sides. Nature carved the rock with the ingenuity of magic and craft, and it is interspersed with a deep valley that is unfathomable in its grandeur and magnificence, which no sculptor or painter can ever match.

Additional Information

Dubbed one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Grand Canyon National Park is located at Colorado Plateau and was formed by the Colorado River carving its way into the plateau. The strata of red-yellowish rock formations give the Grand Canyon a majestic and eccentric look. The Park consists of a South Rim, North Rim and West Rim, of which the first is well-developed and much visited. You may choose to take a bus or drive your own car here, admire the view from the observation deck, go hiking in the mountains, take a helicopter for a view from above, or explore the Indian Reservation.
