    Red Lighting Station

    It is located in Boyo Park, a 20-minute walk from JR Rumoi Station. This lamppost was once at the tip of the pier at Rumoi Port, and it was called "Red Lighthouse" because of its color. The old lighthouse (lantern pillar), which was replaced by a new lighthouse in 1997 due to aging, was relocated to its current location as a monument. Now, I am quietly watching Rumoi Port from the hill.
