When the ancient temple of Chegong was built, it was not possible to test, but according to the inscription in the temple, the ancient temple was rebuilt in Guangxu 16 years (1890), and then the holy sites of Chegong were widely recited. Good faith spread throughout Hong Kong. Every time the New Year's Day, the good faith to visit was endless. In 1994, the Chinese Temples Committee spent about $48 million to build a new temple to give a good faith. In recent years, Chegong Temple has become a popular attraction for visitors to Hong Kong, with Southeast Asian tourists accounting for the majority. To further improve the visiting environment, the Committee has carried out optimization projects in Chegongmiao phases since 2008.
