The enthusiasm for preservation of locals 々 is the biggest attraction
Original Text
When I was a child, I heard from my father that a railway was planned from Sandankyo to Hamada, and that construction was actually done to some extent. I wanted to visit someday. When searching on the net, it is introduced in 々 and is also featured on the homepage of Hamada City, and it is intended to utilize this as a new tourist resource. When I actually visited, there were points 々 and bridges and tunnels on the planned line, and eventually, I went from Shimofu station to imafuku bridge ...
It is a railway heritage that I have wanted to visit once for a long time. You can see the traces of trying to pass through the steep mountains by bridges and tunnels. I was very surprised that many bridges and tunnels still remain as they were at that time. There was an explanation board on each pier and tunnel ruins, and it was also maintained as a tourist resource.
It seems that there was a railroad called Hirohama Railway here once. Nowadays, there are few remnants, but I like the discontinued local lines, so I thought of the past while taking a walk along the lines.
On the way back from Hamada to Hiroshima Airport, I enjoyed the remains of the Imafuku Line from JR Shimofu Station to Kinjo PA (Smart) on the Hamada Expressway. The piers and tunnels are left as they are. When you cross the concrete four bridges and enter the tunnel, there are bats on the ceiling!
It may be famous for abandoned line enthusiasts, but tunnels, elevated structures, embankments, bridges, etc. that have been quite advanced are left everywhere, and the dreams and remnants of the Yin-Yang connecting line are still left. I think it's fun to drive along the river, which is a little mountainous from the city of Hamada, and to follow the traces along with the original scenery of the surrounding Satoyama.

Surprisingly, many facilities remain.
