Phoenix Temple is a famous mosque of Islam in China. Because of its structure, it is called Phoenix Temple, also known as True Religious Temple. It is located in Zhongshan Middle Road (South Song Dynasty Yu Street) in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, and is the worship center of Hangzhou Islam. Phoenix Temple has a long history, founded in the Tang Dynasty, the Song Dynasty was destroyed, the famous Islamic figure in the Yuan Dynasty began to rebuild, the Ming Dynasty again expanded reconstruction, finally formed the Phoenix Temple building group scale. In 1646, the Qing government ordered the reconstruction, then one of the largest mosques in China. Hangzhou Phoenix Temple, Yangzhou Xianzhu Temple, Guangzhou Huaisheng Temple, Quanzhou Qingjing Temple, together called "China's four ancient temples."
Phoenix Temple is a mosque in Hangzhou. It is not open to the public at ordinary times and only open to believers. It is located at the intersection of the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street. There are plenty of halal-related restaurants and supply stores around.
The Phoenix Temple, which is entrance to the Southern Song Dynasty Royal Street, is said to be one of the four major mosques along the coast of China. Unfortunately, the door was locked when I went there. I only took pictures outside. I heard that the inside is very good. It does not seem to be open at any time.
