Shengtang Sceneic Area

Shengtang Scenic Area is one of the two major blocks of Hubin New Scenic Area, east of Huancheng West Road, Hubin Road, west of West Lake, north to Beishan Street, south to Liu Park, an area of about 5 hectares. There is a statue of Marco • Polo in the scenic area. Marco • Polo is an Italian traveler and businessman, representing the works of "Marco Polo Travels". When he was 17, Marco Polo followed his father and uncle to China. It took about four years. He arrived in the capital of the Yuan Dynasty in 1275. He established a friendship with Yuan Shizu Kublai and traveled in China for 17 years. His "Marco Polo Travels" about Hangzhou content occupied a lot of space, he called Hangzhou "walking in" and interpreted it as "Tiancheng", thinking that Hangzhou "is the world's most majestic and magnificent city, here is rich in goods, happy life, live here, It’s like living in heaven.”

During the day, it may be regarded as a relatively ordinary scenic spot. After all, the West Lake can be said to be full of scenery. The Shengtang looks quite ordinary. There are not many tourists, but it is quite beautiful to go out for a walk at night.

The Shengtang Scenic Area is on the side of the broken bridge. The statue of Marco Polo stands here. There is also a site of the old city wall in Hangzhou. The environment is beautiful, the shade is covered, the small bridge and the flowing water are interspersed, and the four seasons of flowers bloom. It is a great place to watch the beautiful scenery of the West Lake such as the gem flow clouds and the broken bridge.

Shengtang Scenic Area is the corner connecting West Lake Lakeside Park and Baidi. There are many flowers in the four seasons. You can overlook the broken bridge and the snow, Baidi Chunxiao. You can watch the lotus flowers in the lake near you. There is also a boat ticket office. You can rent a small boat and invite three or two friends to boat between the lake and the mountains.

Shengtang Scenic Area is a new attraction with rich connotation and historical heritage in Hangzhou City in the process of expanding the West Lake. It is on the north of the Six Parks, on the south of the Shengtang Gate, on the west of the West Lake, on the east of the West Ring Road, with lush forests, small bridges and flowing water, villa teahouses, and statues and grass.
