    Temple deserted

    I think this is just a place of worship temple like most temple in Japan. There is a building for worship, as well as public facilities such as parking and religious nuances of the Japanese people. It...

    A historic temple

    Original Text

    It is located along Chuo-dori, which is easily accessible. It is a venerable temple built by Nagatomo Asano, the feudal lord of Hiroshima, in 1619. Rather than the official name, he is known locally as Toka-san. The festival where the Shintai is opened only for 3 days of the year was famous, and it was a very common temple.

    tokasan's festival

    Original Text

    On the day I went on a trip to Hiroshima, Toka-san's festival was held. Because it is a small temple, I thought it was a small festival, but I closed the city center, made it a pedestrian paradise, and events were held to entertain me. In the precincts, uchiwa was sold and a large lottery was held.

    Toka = Inari

    Original Text

     A temple built in the early Edo period. At the same time as its foundation, Inari Daimyojin, the guardian deity of the Hokkekyo Sutra, was also solicited, and at that time there were six temples other than the main hall. After that, it was reduced due to the influence of fire and war, and the hall of Inari daimyojin remained. In the case of the Hokkekyo Sutra, Inari was read as "Toka", so the temple itself and the grand festival were called "Toka-san". It was destroyed by the atomic bomb and is now a new building. There are various souvenirs for worship.
