Mt. Misen is the main peak of Miyajima. The primeval forest in the mountain is designated as a natural monument. It is a forest of coniferous trees with a mixture of some southern plants. Here, the primeval forest plants can be observed in their natural growth state. Visitors can take the cable cars to climb the mountain, and it is wonderful to see Miyajima from the mid-air. Next to the end of the cableway, there is the Lion Rock Observatory, from which visitors can enjoy the beautiful Seto Inland Sea. In addition, there are many shrines and temples on the top of Mt.
