Full guide to family-friendly activities at each spot:
The Henderson: Hong Kong's new landmark! A super stylish, streamlined skyscraper with a unique swirling water design that's worth checking out. No need to go inside, you can check it out from a distance with kids and easily get great photos.
Hong Kong Park: An urban oasis hidden in Central's CBD! The most photogenic spot is the King Edward VII Fountain. If you're tired from walking, you can rest here, it's very relaxing, and you can also refuel and use the restrooms with the kids, super convenient.
Cotton Tree Drive + Fringe Club: The slopes of Cotton Tree Drive paired with old buildings make for amazing retro street photos. Check out the century-old Murray Building with your kids; the Fringe Club is a century-old arts space with a super beautiful colorful exterior that kids will love.
Tai Kwun: The former Central Police Station, a cluster of century-old buildings that have been transformed into a cultural space from an old police station, prison, and courthouse. Immerse your kids in Hong Kong's history and awaken memories of Hong Kong dramas.
Shui Kee Dai Pai Dong: A local favorite old-brand restaurant, with incredible wok hei! The beef brisket noodle soup is fresh and sweet, and kids love it too. There might be a queue during meal times, but you can eat your fill for around 60 yuan per person.
Central Market: A divine fusion of retro arcades and modern design, housing many unique local Hong Kong shops. The best photo spot is the central spiral staircase, perfect for exploring and eating with kids.
Central Ferry Piers → Star Ferry → Tsim Sha Tsui: Take the Star Ferry from Central Ferry Piers to Tsim Sha Tsui. Let your kids experience Hong Kong's classic mode of transport. It only costs a little over 3 HKD with an Octopus card, offering great value.
Harbour City/K11: After arriving in Tsim Sha Tsui, head straight to the Avenue of Stars/Victoria Harbour. If you still have energy, you can take the kids to the 6th-floor observation deck at K11 for a breathtaking panoramic view of Victoria Harbour.
Signal Hill Garden: This was definitely the most beautiful spot of the day, perfect for photos. It's just a few hundred meters from Tsim Sha Tsui Exit D2, super convenient for visiting with kids.
East Coast Park at Fortress Hill: After a day of exploring, relax here with your kids and watch a perfect sunset. The chairs here allow you to lie down, it's so comfortable.
Outfit Suggestions: Make sure to have a touch of red! It makes for amazing photos. A red bag or a red hair accessory works well. Pairing family outfits with red elements makes photos even better.
