The building of the Hawaii State Assembly is very majestic, with the state emblem hung in the middle of the main entrance, with the words 1959 on it. You can see the blue sky and white clouds when you look up. The building is surrounded by tall palm trees. According to the information, the eight huge pillars supporting the building symbolize the eight main islands of Hawaii. The building is surrounded by pools, symbolizing that the island of Hawaii is located in the vast Pacific Ocean. There is a sculpture of FATHER DAMIEN in front of the building. On both sides of the first floor are conference halls, one called SENATE and the other called HOUSE OF REPRESENTITIVES.
