The Natural Science Museum displays many ancient animal fossil specimens. The facilities of this science museum are also very unique. You can see many interesting things. The collection of the entire museum is also quite rich, and the large dinosaur fossils are very shocking.
This museum was definitely a pleasant surprise. I thought that after visiting so many natural history museums, I wouldn't be impressed by it, but I didn't expect that I would like this museum so much and I will come again.
I really recommend this museum. If I have the chance to come to Houston next time, I will come again. The collection in this museum is so rich, and each piece has been carefully selected.
Participating in the ISWEEEP event in Houston, the organizers arranged a visit to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the largest museum in Houston, located in the northeastern corner of Herman Park, close to the bronze statue of Sam Houston and the fountain at the intersection of Main Street and Montrose. The theme of the museum's exhibition area is shining, including Tsar's treasures and Afghan gold, as well as dinosaurs, fossils, jewelry, minerals, chemistry and touchable samples. There are not only the introduction of the historical development process, but also the display of modern products embodying the characteristics of the city. Here, a variety of marine specimens and dinosaur fossils are very attractive to visitors.
The Houston Museum of Natural Science is located in the northeast corner and consists of a planetarium, a natural science hall, and a butterfly center. Due to time constraints, we visited the Butterfly Center, which has a large greenhouse with many flowers, trees, turtles, lizards, butterflies, etc. The temperature and humidity are very suitable for butterflies and insects to live. They fly around freely, attracting many children to visit and learn. The little friends were very happy! After the visit, you can have a meal at the restaurant in the museum or visit the souvenir shop.
[Fun] There is a large butterfly house here, which contains all kinds of exotic flowers and plants, as well as many insects for appreciation. There are also many animal specimens in the museum, which are so exquisitely crafted that they look real! If you are tired of visiting, there is a restaurant inside that serves delicious food, which is a fun place to go.
Unusual but informative, with lots of dioramas of animals. The museum is geographically based, e.g. river delta, savannah, etc. Many of the dinosaur exhibits look quite rigid, but are large. Exhibits also cover geology and ancient Egypt. There is also a separate planetarium and event theatre inside the museum, but this is at an extra cost on site. What is different, though, is that there is a McDonalds inside the American museum!
The Houston Museum of Nature is the largest and most popular Museum in Houston. There are many fossils of Paleontology in the museum, including dinosaur fossils! Children are very fond of sightseeing!
