Yuping Cableway

Huangshan Yuping Cableway was built on September 26, 1996. Due to insufficient capacity, it was converted into a new cableway on June 16, 2015. The new Yuping Cableway is slanted length 2600.39 meters, the height difference between the upper and lower stations 861.6 meters, and the operating speed is 6 meters ／ seconds. There are 82 8 people sitting in the hanging box, and the one-way capacity is 2,400 people per hour. It is the main traffic road in Huangshan Scenic Area. From the hot spring to the Yuping Scenic Area, it is close to the welcoming pine. You can take the cableway to overlook the two main peaks of Tiandu and Lotus. The cableway passes along the [View] Lotus Valley. The scenery is beautiful, and the one-way fare is 90 yuan. Business hours should be consulted on the official website of Huangshan Scenic Area.

Huangshan Yuping cableway is 2176 meters long and 752 meters high. It is an automatic cycle suspension passenger cableway. The main mechanical and electrical equipment is introduced from Dobermaya, Austria. The cableway runs at a speed of up to 6 meters/s and has a one-way capacity of 1,000 people per hour. The cableway is equipped with 82 eight-seater carriages. The cableway brings together the most representative Xiong, Qi, Risk and Fantasy famous attractions of Huangshan. Take the Yuping cableway, you can overlook the Tiandu Peak, the Lotus Peak, and the stream overlooking the mountain.

Highly recommend taking this cable car up as it places you in a good spot with great views. Our hotel was YuPingLou which was far from the cable car, so if you’re staying here, I don’t recommend taking this one if you have small children or don’t like stairs.

The Yuping cableway is the Yuping Scenic Area of Huangshan Mountain, which is a must-see place for the first time in Huangshan. The scenic spot is centered on Yuping Building, with Lotus Peak and Tiandu Peak as the main body. This is usually the front mountain that people call. The main attractions are Penglai Sandao, Yingke Song, Send-off Song, Baibu Yunti, First Line Tian, New First Line Tian, Eels Cave and other landscapes. Undoubtedly, Yupinglou Scenic Area integrates the wonders of Huangshan Mountain, so it is known as the excellent place in Huangshan Mountain. Now come to Huangshan, if you go up the mountain from the South Gate, you can choose to take the cable car to Ciguang Pavilion or Yungu Temple. Passengers who travel by self-service or self-driving tours usually go to Tangkou first. In Tangkou, there is a unified transfer point-Zhaixi Transfer Center. Now the scenic spot has made unified regulations, private cars and tourist buses are not allowed to enter the scenic spot, and you have to take the scenic shuttle bus to the place where you take the bus. At the transfer point, you can choose the direction of Yungu Cableway, or you can choose the direction of Yuping Cableway. The two cableways are in the front mountain and the back mountain. Generally, either from the Yuping on the Yungu down the mountain, or the Yuping cableway on the Yungu cableway down the mountain, you can visit the most scenery in a day as soon as possible. However, after going up the mountain, the distance that needs to walk can reach more than a dozen miles. If you take the Yuping cableway up the mountain, the first attraction you arrive at is the welcome pine, and then you can climb the lotus peak. If you take the Yungu cableway up the mountain, the first attraction you arrive at is Guangmingding, and then you can visit the eel peak. Now you have to make an appointment one day in advance to enter Huangshan, and you can follow the official platform on WeChat. The first time I came to Huangshan, I strongly recommend the Yuping cableway to go up the mountain. Recommend our one-day tour essence route: transfer to Qianshan (Ciguang Pavilion) in the transfer center of Huangshan Scenic Area, buy Huangshan tickets, Yuping cableway tickets to Yupingshang Station, first visit Yupinglou Scenic Area: see the Yutuan Song, Haohanpo, watch the Yuping Sleeping Buddha, enjoy the national treasure and welcome the guests pine, Looking at the most dangerous mountain peak of Huangshan Mountain, Tiandu Peak, take Xingfu Avenue, pass the lotus pavilion, pass the 100-step cloud ladder, the first line of the sky to the boulder wonder of the squid-fish-gold turtle, and arrive at the Tianhai Service Area (Baiyun Hotel) at about noon after the Tianhai Scenic Area. Die at Baiyun Hotel at noon to replenish energy. In the afternoon, continue to go up the Guangmingding, go down from the Guangmingding, visit the Liandan Peak, fly to the stone, Paiyun Pavilion (a distant view of the Xihai Grand Canyon), pass the Paiyunlou Hotel, Xihai Hotel, and watch the unity Song, Dawang Song, and black tiger pine to Shixin Peak, all the way down to the Bai'eling New Station cableway. Take the cableway down the mountain to Yungu Temple, transfer to the scenic traffic bus back to the mountain.

Huangshan Yuping Cableway, starting from Ciguang Pavilion, is very close to the welcoming pine after going up. In the morning, I was afraid of many people. I started to go to the ropeway at 7:30. There was no tourist on the road. There was no one over the whole steps. It is estimated that May 11th will be crowded here. The steps on the ropeway are very long, and the place to climb the cable car is already a bit tired. Fortunately, there is a cable car up the mountain. If you go by yourself, it is estimated that you will be exhausted. It takes about ten minutes to reach the end and start a long mountain climbing trip.
