Jeju Island Travelogue
Jeju Island, the largest island in South Korea, is located in the southwestern sea area of South Korea, with an area of 1845 square kilometers and a population of 600,000. The climate on the island is pleasant, making it a famous tourist destination. Jeju City is located on the north coast of the island. In 2007, Jeju Island was designated as a World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO and is known as the "Hawaii of South Korea".
It is said that there were three immortals who met three princesses from the country of Bi Lang in the East China Sea, who came by wooden boat with cattle, horses, and seeds of five grains. The three immortals married the three princesses and established a village, where they lived for a long time. The famous tourist attraction in Jeju Island, "Samseonghyeol," is a historical site related to this myth. It is said that during the Three Kingdoms period, there was an ancient country called "Dangro" in Jeju, which was later renamed "Jeju" during the reign of King Gaozong of Goryeo.
Asia's largest Teddy Bear Museum is located on Jeju Island. This museum in Seogwipo City is very large and collects teddy bears of various scenes. Visitors can watch Teddy Bear Puppet Theater performances and the central hall also sells various Teddy Bear peripheral toys. The Teddy Bear Museum includes different types of small bear plush toys from all over the world: Van Gogh bears, astronaut bears, science fiction bears who "died tragically", vegetable-selling bears, outdoor scaffolding giant bears, and so on. There is a feeling of being healed in every display case. In addition to taking photos, the dazzling array of peripheral souvenirs also attracts children.
Along the road by the seaside, ride clockwise. The sun is shining and there is a sea breeze. When we reach a spot where we can go into the sea, we park our bikes by the roadside and run down to take photos. The stones by the seaside here are surprisingly black, and there are some small stones piled up with black stones, which are said to be used for sacrifice. When we come across a pavilion to rest, we stop our bikes, take out food from our backpacks to replenish our energy, and sit down to rest. During the ride, we also encounter some island women who go to the sea to catch seafood and seaweed, which they sell after drying them on the shore. Thinking about the time to rent a car and the return boat ticket, we don't stay too long and continue to ride clockwise along the seaside. Although we say "ride", the electric bike only needs a few pedals to start moving, so it doesn't take much effort. The speed is faster in the second half of the journey, and when we encounter downhill roads, we are as happy as flying.
If you want to eat, we recommend Baojian Road. The last time we went to Baojian Road was a long time ago. The proportion of Chinese restaurants is really beyond our imagination. Even our entire charter driver is Chinese (graduated from Jeju University, young people from Jiangsu and Zhejiang). Before eating the emperor crab, of course, we took a photo to commemorate it. As for the cheese restaurant, the boss will perform and show you what is the longest and thinnest cheese, which is super interesting. The two representatives of Jeju cuisine, seafood and black pork, rely on the geographical advantage of being surrounded by the sea on three sides. Jeju's seafood is particularly fresh and cheap. There is a street for black pork barbecue in Jian'in-dong, Jeju City, which must be tasted! It is recommended to play for about three days throughout the journey! Take a day off and get up early to watch the sunrise over the sea.
In Jeju at night, there are barbecues everywhere, Jeju's most famous black pork coral barbecue, you can taste it. Another glass of sake. Very good feeling. Domestic 38 degrees, Jeju 22 degrees temperature is also very comfortable
Near Liandong, the old town of Jeju Island, there is a famous commercial street, which is Baojian Road, which enjoys a high reputation among Chinese tourists. This road was originally one of the most common streets on Jeju Island, and it was not famous, but in 2001, because a Chinese health product company organized nearly 10,000 employees to visit Jeju Island, it brought a lot of business opportunities and income to Jeju Island. So the local government named this relatively popular commercial street for Chinese tourists as "Baojian Road" commercial pedestrian street. This shopping street is only 500 meters long, although not long, but it has gathered nearly 200 merchants, eating, drinking, playing, and having fun. Every day after noon, merchants open the door to welcome guests without hassle. Most of the guests are tourists from China. Whenever night falls, it is crowded, whether it is a cosmetics store or a barbecue restaurant, full of Chinese tourists with strong consumption capacity. In order to better receive Chinese tourists, almost all stores have Chinese-speaking employees, so Chinese is the most popular language here. Chinese tourists don't have to worry about language communication. The entrance to the pedestrian street is a statue of "Grandpa Stone".
Hi, Zheng Yusheng! Baojian Road is not too long, but it is a one-stop way to eat, drink and play. Jeju Island is free for four days, I live near Health Road, eating and shopping is more convenient. There are too many Chinese on the road. Chinese children who work for Korean bosses are selling barbecue and seafood. The price is not cheap. I think the price of eating in Baojian Road is not high. When I was eating, I saw Zheng Yusheng's poster, hehe, there are beer, coffee, clothing. Silla is not too far from Baojian Road. Yueshi Fengyin, the natural republic and Paris Beitian are quite densely distributed here, and the price is good. Buy volcanic stone, orange chocolate (not tasty) and strips of honey dumpling tea, five-plus fruit tea, you can start here, you may wish to counter-offer, the store also welcomes RMB.
Baojian Road, next to the duty-free shop in Jeju Island. The tour guide gave me two hours to go to the duty-free shop. I want to go to the airport and buy something again so that I can board the plane easily. Two hours can't be wasted. Go to the nearby Baojian Road. Baojianlu is mostly catering, with 100,000 crabs per emperor, equivalent to 600 yuan. There are almost all Chinese characters in the shops. An old lady who sells ginseng takes a Chinese book and talks with us. Although she is astringent, she can see the old man's efforts. Ice cream here is recommended. It tastes good and it's not expensive.
Opposite the Shilla Stay Hotel, across the road, is Baojian Road, a pedestrian street in Jeju Island, full of Jeju Island restaurants, cafes, snack bars, fruit shops, drugstores, etc., people Ding Xingwang, very lively! The food is not expensive and cost-effective. The mask sold by the drugstore is a regular product, which is much cheaper than the duty-free shop!
Really good, have a chance to see it together.
Jeju Island free travel check-in ~ On the last day of physical overdraft, you can only go shopping and eat. Health Road is a good choice. This road was built when China and South Korea established diplomatic relations for many years, but it left a particularly bad impression on me. It is quite lively here at night, there are resident singing performances, etc. There are cosmetics luxury jewelry stores here, and there are many people in Europe and the United States. The Shilla Duty Free Shop is also nearby. It feels like it is opened for the Chinese. It is all Chinese purchasing. It is also annoying to see the heart cool. There is nothing in China. MCM also has several specialties. I thought it was a foreign brand. I looked at a bag. The salesman said that it was acquired by South Korea in 2006, so I didn't buy it cheaply. Finally, the school village fried chicken that makes people complain, the service attitude is super poor, it is recommended that the Chinese people still don't step on the pit.
