2. **Route🚶: Kid-friendly and easy on the legs**
Highly recommend the "South up, South down" route! Drive to Shenxianju South Gate No.3 parking lot to avoid the scorching sun and stay comfortable. The whole trip relies on cable cars + elevators: cable cars from either south or north cost 65 RMB up and 55 RMB down, reaching the summit in minutes; from Foying Lianyun to Nantian Peak you can take the elevator, only a few steps to climb.
If entering from the north gate, the cable car is a special multi-person cabin. Near Ruyi Bridge, there’s a fork—ask the security to take the "Yuanmeng Bridge - Wolong Bridge" route, which is gentler and better for kids.
3. **Must-visit spots📸: Easily capture fairy-like photos**
- Foying Lianyun: A popular photo spot with cliff backgrounds; the park sprays mist regularly 🌁, so you don’t have to rely on luck to get magical shots. It’s less crowded in the morning, no long waits.
- Nantian Peak Glass Viewing Platform: Take the elevator up to overlook the abyss below, kids love the thrill.
- Walk the plank roads: Pass by Bodhi Road, Prajna Road, and other plank roads running parallel to the cliffs with stunning views.

Recommend staying at "Yunyin Shanyuan Homestay," just across the creek from Shenxianju South Gate, convenient transportation, and a super comfortable mountain and water environment.
5. **Other tips💡**
After descending, there’s a shuttle to the north gate for 5 RMB per person. Remember to clarify if you’re going to the parking lot or the visitor center. Along the way, recite Li Bai’s landscape poems with your kids for a more poetic journey~

The well-planned Wolong Bridge will make you love it, and you will get a perfect and unique experience when traveling here. Xitang has been prosperous and wealthy since ancient times, and I believe that walking here will always give you a unique feeling.
Wolong Bridge is a famous stone bridge in Xitang, located at the mouth of Beizha River in Xitang Town, Jiashan. Among the ancient water towns, Wolong Bridge looks simple, but it is also the most majestic. The bridge deck is a large stone slab with a dragon carved on it, with its head facing east and its tail facing west. It can still be vaguely seen today. There is a couplet on the bridge: It took hundreds of years to build a rugged road and a bridge for millions of people to travel.
Scenic spot name: Wolong Bridge Address: Beizha City, Xitang Ancient Town, Jiashan County, Jiaxing City Wolong Bridge is a characteristic bridge in Xitang Ancient Town, located near the exit of the scenic area, just ahead of Wan'an Bridge.
(V) In addition to the Misty Corridor, Xitang Ancient Town is famous for its many bridges and lanes. The above mentioned the cruelty of April, quoting the first chapter of Eliot's The Waste Land, "The Funeral of the Dead": April, this month is the cruelest … However, reality is always richer than theory, although reality is said to be skinny. In my opinion, imagination is skinny, and reality is rich. Thirty years ago, twenty years ago, ten years ago... and even in the future, there are always theorists from the outside and inside who expect doomsday or collapse, but I can never agree with them. … So, in the optimistic sense, "winter keeps us warm." So, "the snow of forgetfulness covers the soil"; that is to say, forgetfulness was expected in advance, so there is no sadness, let alone surprise. …… Finally, the translation mentioned: London Bridge is collapsing, collapsing, collapsing …… When Old Ai was writing, Britain was still the country where the sun never sets, at least in name; but in the eyes of the symbolist old man Ai, decline is the inevitable outcome. One day in early June, I flowed like Old Ai, flowing in a small town in the south of the Yangtze River in my hometown. By the way, Britain has always been the spiritual motherland for the American poet Eliot. For me, China has always been the spiritual motherland, whether it is recognized or not, and it does not need to be recognized or denied. In June, the town is full of flowers and trees. Walking through the house lanes, you can still feel the water, that is, the flat ancient town is densely covered with rivers. The house lanes are a major feature, and it is said that there are 122 crisscrossing; including the street lanes connecting two parallel streets, the water lanes with the front leading to the street and the back leading to the river, and the side lanes set up on the side of the hall in the house. The ancient town is divided into eight parts by nine rivers that converge in the town, and there are twenty-four stone bridges that connect five of them into a large area. Most of the stone bridges in the ancient town are single-hole stone column and wooden beam bridges. Wolong Bridge is one of the famous bridges; a dragon with its head in the east and its tail in the west is engraved on the bridge, so it is called Wolong Bridge; there are thirty-two stone steps on the east side of the bridge, thirty stone steps on the west side of the bridge, and nine more steps on the west slope facing south. It is said that it was originally a wooden bridge, which fell into disrepair over the years; a Zhuzhu craftsman saw a pregnant woman fall into the water by the bridge and wanted to rebuild it. He shaved his head and became a monk. He begged for alms for ten years and earned three thousand silver coins; when the silver was used up, there was still a lack of stone materials, and the monk died due to accumulated suffering; at this time, the gods came to Xitang, heard that the dried tofu was famous, tasted it, and praised it highly; a piece of dried tofu fell on the bridge and formed the bridge deck. Of course, the bridge was actually built in the fifty-eighth year of Kangxi, that is, 1719 AD, exactly three hundred years ago. In the 58th year of Emperor Kangxi's reign, Russian envoy Izmailov and his entourage went to China. Emperor Kangxi said to Izmailov: I have always wanted to maintain a solid peace with your great emperor, and there is no reason for our two countries to fight. Russia is a cold and remote country. If I send troops there, the whole army will freeze to death, and what is the use? The Russian monarch is the same... Reading history is interesting. Watching the scenery on the bridge, the small river flows quietly and peacefully, which is even more interesting.
Not far from Wolong Bridge, there is a Xitang 2046 Design Hotel. Xitang 2046 Design Hotel, as its name suggests, is trendy and beautiful; the interior is clean and sanitary, with complete facilities and utensils, just like the standards of other star-rated regular accommodation hotels. I personally like the design style of its lobby, which is simple and stylish. When you come back from the ancient town at night, you can sit in the lobby and read and write quietly. The hotel is very close to the ancient town. For me, I can reach the entrance of the scenic area by taking a short walk. There is no ticket in the early morning and evening, just in time to appreciate the sunset and dawn. Of course, watching the scenery upstairs in the Linhe Restaurant at dusk and at night is really a great enjoyment in life. After dinner, walk along the river, or listen to the excitement along the street until the lights are dim and fatigue comes, and it is just right to go back to the design hotel. 2046, I hope we are still alive, healthy and happy.
Wolong Bridge Cruise Terminal There are several cruise terminals within the Xitang Ancient Town scenic area. This one is located near Wolong Bridge. You can walk along this corridor to the bridge to admire the scenery and take photos, then proceed to the terminal for a cruise. Cruises are charged per person and depart only after a full complement of passengers is reached. Chartering a boat is also available, eliminating the wait. The experience of a cruise is different during the day and at night. During the day, you can enjoy the ancient town's charming waterside charm, while at night, the lights shine brightly. Cruises typically last about 20-30 minutes.
