What travelers say:

It is located 15 km south of the city of Karbala. Miraculous place where when Imam Ali (a.s) was going/coming from war with his army. Everyone was thirsty so Assadullah hil Ghaleb Amir ul Momineen Ali ibne abu Talib removed a huge and heavy rock on his own to open up a well for his army to drink out of. There was a man who had been told by his ancestors to guard that place and whoever removes the rock you shall join his religion. The man saw that Imam Ali (a.s) moved the rock and converted to a Muslim and lover of Imam Ali (a.s) later being a martyr in a later war. This is one of the many miracles The first Imam preformed. The hut next to the shrine is where the man use to live. This place is called Qatr e Ali.
