Hemingway's "Old Man and the Sea" is written in the former residence of keywest Hemingway. The exterior wall of the former residence is white and yellow and green, typical Victorian style, surrounded by a small, lush garden, although not large.

Key West has Hemingway’s former home and the bar he often goes to. Ernest Hemingway (Ernest Hemingway, July 21, 1899 － July 2, 1961), American journalist and writer, considered one of the most famous novelists of the 20th century, wrote the world-famous Nobel Prize in Literature "Old Man and the Sea" (The Old Man and the Sea). Hemingway and his second wife Pauline began wintering in Key West in 1928, and their uncle bought them the house in 1931. From 1931 to 1939, he lived with his family until his death. Hemingway settled in Cuba between 1939 and 1960. Hemingway had always thought that he lived in Cuba and had his former residence in the United States.

Hemingway, a city on the southernmost part of the United States, I thought it was in Cuba before I came here. I was fortunate to come here to look forward to my former residence and learn more about the history. It is a quiet, low-key and warm home. Most of the tourists here are European tourists.

This is Hemingway's former residence, very well preserved, all furnishings look very comfortable and natural. This is where he lives and works. Our guide was well informed and quite familiar with the owner of the house. He told us in detail how Hemingway cleaned the house before he died and explained to us many unknown details.
